Reminder - in order to qualify for the government's $8000 gift in the form of a tax credit, the deal must be closed by December 1, 2009.
If you plan on taking advantage of the $8000 tax credit, you need to have a purchase contract signed by early October. This will allow 45 to 60 days for the transaction process, including home inspections, repairs, financing, appraisals, etc. to all be complete and safely close the deal by the deadline.
